Drysol is a brand name for aluminum chloride hexahydrate which is made by Person & Covey Inc., whose quality, experience, service, and trust have been built for over 60 years.
Most people commonly use antiperspirants and deodorants on a daily basis to reduce wetness and fight odour. However not all antiperspirants are equally effective. Those containing aluminium chloride and alcohol seem to be most effective. A consultation with your Hyperhidrosis Specialist will determine the right treatment option for you.
Embarrassment and discomfort are just two problems caused by hyperhidrosis. For many patients, excessive sweating provides a breeding environment for a variety of more troubling skin and soft-tissue conditions ranging from athletes foot and blisters to acne. Drying up that environment can help prevent or treat some conditions exacerbated by excessive, persistent sweating. However, for hyperhidrosis patients, over-the-counter antiperspirants don't work. Drysol works in the toughest cases.
Formulations of Aluminum Chloride (Hexahydrate) in Anhydrous Ethyl Alcohol are the reasons Drysol is so effective. The use of Anhydrous Alcohol is essential because even the smallest amount of water, in combination with Aluminum Chloride, can be extremely irritating.
For patients:
Who are suffering from hyperhidrosis
Whose jobs or sports activities cause excessive sweating that exacerbates other skin problems

Drysol is reported to work for 80 percent of the people who use it for excessive sweating. Doctors generally recommend applying it to problem areas after drying the skin completely. Wearing it only at bedtime and then washing it off in the morning with plain water reduces the chance of skin irritation.
Generally, treatment is repeated nightly until sweating is under control. This may happen after just two or more treatments. Thereafter, you can apply Drysol once or twice weekly or as needed.

Q.
| Drysol is the most powerful antiperspirant on the market, and as it is not a prescription medication in Canada, you can buy it without a prescription. And it WORKS!! |
Q.
Wearing Drysol only at bedtime and then washing it off in the morning with plain water reduces the chance of skin irritation.(Do NOT rub in, do NOT apply right after shaving, it could cause irritation.) Generally, treatment is repeated nightly until sweating is under control. This may happen after just two or more treatments. Thereafter, you can apply Drysol once or twice weekly or as needed.
Drysol should not be applied to broken, irritated, or recently shaved skin. Nor should it be used with regular daytime antiperspirants or deodorants. Once the excessive sweating has stopped, you can try using your regular underarm products again.
* Extra-strength preparations can cause skin irritation and discomfort. Depending on the concentration of aluminium chloride, effectiveness may be limited in more moderate to severe Hyperhidrosis. |
